Empowering Women and Girls

Through its Community Development and Women’s Empowerment programs, K2 TASO works to uplift women facing extraordinary challenges and give them the resources to build stability and hope for their families.

Mrs. Tomaida is one such woman. After being abandoned by her husband, she was left to care for four children on her own, one of whom is chronically ill. Despite her strength and determination, the demands of caregiving made it impossible for her to support her family’s welfare.

When K2 TASO learned of her situation, we stepped in to provide ongoing monthly support to help meet the family’s basic needs. We also supplied new bedding and household essentials to improve her home environment, and are now supporting two of her children in college, helping to break the cycle of hardship through education.

This initiative was made possible through a generous donation from a U.S.-based family, whose compassion reflects the heart of K2 TASO’s mission: empowering women and girls to overcome adversity, achieve independence, and create stronger communities for future generations.
